Your probably no scrap that, your defiantly doing more milk than me.
Lots of interest in the bottling kit, was very cosy in the dairy. I wanted a small milk tank there were 6 in the sale but came home with nothing.Only just seen this so probably a bit late to get up there. Will enquire if there's any unsold lots though. Thanks for the tag!

Pasteuriser made £3300ish, bottle filler £120ishWhat did the pasteuriser and bottle filler make? Presume it all sold then?

Of course you went to the sale - I would have been surprised if you hadnt!
How fresh are they?
Before anyone asks I know they're high scc but my last bulk tank scc was sub 100 so not to worried, one calved may, other 2 last November I think and one of the 2 is back incalf for November and the other served recentlyWill be interesting to see what the constituents are when you milk record.
Calved November and not in calf yet? Before anyone asks I know they're high scc but my last bulk tank scc was sub 100 so not to worried, one calved may, other 2 last November I think and one of the 2 is back incalf for November and the other served recently
A cull cow doing over 27 litres to be correct and the only one of the 3 to have a low scc of 36, and at cull cow valueCalved November and not in calf yet?
You bought a cull cow?
Packed ring, a lot of cows bidding started off around £400-£500 but picked up quickly, anything worth milking £900+, older cows sub £800 and milking heifers even ones calved 6 months+ and not back incalf sold to above £1000, fresh heifers were £1300 plus, think I saw one nice shaped one at £1600, incalf heifers calving soon around simalar money to fresh calving ones along with autumn calving dry cows £1000+. Young stock and particularly young calving sold well. Didn't think the farmer selling them did to bad, got talking to him after and he said he had lost all interest in the job, wishes he'd kept up with the pedigree breeding, he was in his 70's and his 2 daughter had gone and got careers, thought cow prices were at their peak so decided to go out now.what was your thoughs on trade @William Mellor ? brother in law said you couldn't get near the ring for folk
Rubbish, buy a cow that was sold doing 35 litres and she's only doing 12, they will have a draw with the farmer. They're yours wherever the hammer drops - an auction is an auction.
