Thank you Lexion 1000
And if I may I'll quote from a tweet: Should you believe the 98% of climate scientists who conclude humans are destroying the planet? Or Should you believe the classical liberals on Twitter who are abusing a 16 year old autistic girl for giving speeches in a foreign language?

TBH that makes me very doubtful of the veracity of climate science, how does one become a 'climate scientist' without signing up to the status quo, will the rest of the climate science club only recognise you as one of them if you parrot their orthodoxy? It is a very dangerous position for any branch of science to find itself in, for to maintain credibility it cannot allow any doubt of the creed (for that is what it has become) to be tolerated. That is bad science.

There are many scientists outside of climate science who have questioned the beliefs of these high priests of climate change, not just 'classical liberals', whoever you mean by that.

Now, if it were desired to reinforce a belief system then what better way to broadcast the message than by finding an individual who cannot be questioned or disputed because they carry certain handicaps? The abuse of that girl is by those who are using her to maintain their position of influence, and even power, it is a trick that organised religion learnt centuries ago and climate science has come to adopt.

If you to are of the opinion that humanity is destroying the planet may one ask what you think the climate would be doing now if there had been no significant release of CO by mankind?

What twisted conspiracy theory world do you live in? Hey, let's go and program a young person and send them out to twist the truth to suit our agenda. Where does it hurt to, just for a moment, believe there are a couple of good people, young people knocking about?
And the cartoon is not bad either.

For sure there are, but they don't all suddenly find themselves with a platform and massive audience out of the blue.

So is she suspicious because she appears out of the blue? (I'm sure her school, her mates, her family and her community are probably aware of her existence.) Or is she only credible if she remains in obscurity? I'm afraid I don't get your point. Or maybe she should just be keeping her views to herself?

A photogenic sixteen year old suddenly finds herself speaking to a conference echoing the views of the climate change lobby. Are you completely innocent of the way the world works?

Oh look - I've just found myself speaking to a conference. What shall I say? I shall 'echo' someone. (I'm far too young and photogenic to have any views of my own. Pity I don't have a cute kitten as my avatar.

Well now we have it! Not so suddenly and not so out of the blue. As that despicable lying turd Toby Young (among others) has just tweeted, Greta Thunberg is the daughter of a one-time Eurovision singer. Shame on her! (Young has some rather disturbing obsessions as well as being utterly disgusting.) But now that we now her appearance was not so out of the blue, can we go back to giving her credit for speaking out for her generation?

No. Why should we assume that she is speaking for her generation? Did the organisers of the event seek out any 16 year old who might question the climate warming creed? What would be the response if they had do you think?

Listened to her on the radio, yesterday. She comes across as a very bright young lady.

To me, it seems perfectly logical that the increase in CO2 emissions since the industrial revolution has, and is, effecting the climate; I don’t see how it cannot. Millions of years worth of fossilised carbon being released into the atmosphere over a period of less than 200 years must surely be a significant event. There’s no doubt that CO2 levels have varied dramatically over the earths geological history, and within certain parameters, life will always find a way. However, relatively rapid changes in atmosphere are bound to pose significant challenges to species survival.

Whether climate change attributable to mans activities is significant in comparison with geological/ astrological influences, isn’t really the point. We shouldn’t try to excuse our inaction over the things we can change, just because there are greater events that we cannot influence.

Most industrial jobs exported 1000s of miles away using dirty energy and no pollution controls.
No energy independance.
Rainforests chopped down for Palm Oil & fuel additives.
A complete lack of sustainability as most goods are imported.
What little Green jobs exist are non productive.
Cities are not sustainable and never will be.
"Renewables" made 1000s of miles away using dirty energy.
Wind Turbines built offshore which cost 2x onshore .. plus makes money for MPs .. plus makes money for the "Crown".
Development of millions of new homes to support immigration .. along transport corridors EXACTLY where the worst pollution exists.
HS2 built specifically to bring in more people to Cities .. to create more pollution .. why not stop the commute, save time, save money and bring money to local economies ?

Quite so, I can't understand this obsession with cities, the great IT revolution was meant to make them obsolete as we all worked from home. Another great prediction not working out quite as expected.
