Alternative tagging options for sheep

I have a ram with a big ear haematoma, and because he’s been shaking his head, the other ear is starting to fill too. We’ve already had to cut his eid tag out and there’s no chance of getting a tag back in that ear. If the other ear goes the same way we’ll have to cut the tag out of that one too.

What are my options for sending him to market after tupping? I read about eid bolus but I don’t have a bolus gun. Can he have 2 pastern wraps? Or can I tie his tags round his neck 😂 or do I have to ring the knackerman, which does seem a waste really as he is otherwise healthy, he just likes to pick fights which is what ended him up in this predicament 🤦🏻‍♀️

Let his ears get better, don’t ring the knacker man!!
I don’t want to, don’t want a bill when I could get some ££. I’ll see how he is after tupping, there’s no rush to send him on, but the bad ear skin is very thickened now so I’m not sure we’d get a tag in that even once it’s gone down.
