Is there a gas build up under a cover?

bubble system sounds interesting, I don’t like the idea of too much mechanical being permanently in the lagoon

I used to mount a mixer on the loadall and push it out into the lagoon’s if we could not reach if the crust was stubborn. It used to be an hydraulic driven one which we used to run it through the loadall hydraulic system but the hydraulic oil got too hot , so we used to put a tractor by the side and run it through that . when we were mixing towers it was good we did not have this buy specialist equipment to get into them. just thought I put the information out there.

I never had vents on my cover and it would blow up like a ballon,if I could have timed it with stirring it would have been great.

There is never anything mechanical immersed in the actual slurry. It's just plastic piping with some holes in and an electric motor powering a compressor activated by a time switch to use off peak juice. Bubbles air through the slurry slowly over time.

Our systems are a series of plastic pipes mounted to the floor, on the end of each pipe there's a rubber flap so slurry can't go back up the pipes. The pipes are in zones, they run back to a manifold with valves on them so it blows each zone in turn instead if trying to do the whole lot at once.

Dairypower would be the largest installation company around us of bubbler systems, they also fitted the system for Tom Pemberton in his tower.

Do they take much driving ?
We have three impeller options:

1: 80 - 130hp
2: 130 - 160hp+
3: 200hp + (This will put 250hp on its knees)

As David said, they will take all of the power you have availabe.

Our liner leg can be retrofitted to any of our machines, older frames will require two holes drilling.
