Fendt hydraulic problem

Hi. Yes plenty of oil in tank. And yes it sounds like it’s drawing air but everything is tight no leaks anywhere
Some days when I get up on it it’s perfect for about a hour then starts of like a jackhammer
Other times it starts off the minute I turn the key

Hi Paddy, did you ever get to the bottom of this?

Hi all,
I have a 2004 Fendt 712 here in Canada. I am having troubles with my yellow bank. This is the very top most valve in the block. Hydraulics are good and functional when I manual operate it form the block. I have pulled the pilot solenoid valve and even swapped it with another bank, and Im still having issues with Yellow only. Has anyone had any issues with this maybe having low Pilot pressure being the top valve? Or a low voltage issue possibly?
We installed a new Hydraulic pump 1000 hrs ago and keep up to date on filters.
Thanks

I know I’m a year late on replying. My tractor 2010 Fendt 718 had same issues with loud whining hydraulics, especially in cold weather. Believe it or not there is a screen inside the main suction hose coming off the hydraulic tank. Wildest thing I ever seen! You have to take the hose completely off between the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic tank and look through it and you’ll see a screen inside. I would bet my life it’s plugged. I clean mine and it’s never made a noise since.

Hi, im having this same noise issue with a 2004 818. Sounds exactly the same as the issue your having did you get to the bottom of it? Would love to get the noise sorted.

I would look into the hyd pump. It is a pressure&flow compensated pump. as it demands flow and pressure, it ramps up, but there is a way to change the setting. Im guessing, if you have checked all filters, and made sure you have no air leaks on the inlet side of the pump, these settings may be your issue.
