Know a lot who have tried Southie and Lairg type cheviots on the Welsh hills and they didn’t perform anywhere near as good as the Brecknock cheviots already there . Same as everywhere, sheep have got to suit the ground or you’re pissing in the wind.

But I’d still say that a Brecknock cheviot that’s been stabilised and called a cheviot for 150 years probably can still be called a cheviot . Not that I’m that worried at 11pm ,but there we go.
