My noco gave up the ghost this week , looked at the price of a new one and they are £120 more than i paid last time , looking at a portable power pack who used to make the snap on jump packs , these are repairable . Has any one done similar and lived to regret it , i did like my noco but to hell spending good money every few years ,

Do not buy anything off noco. They do not honour their warranty and google as the net is littered with people having issues with their products. They are just very good at marketing. Don’t buy it …….

I was never really that impressed with my noco, maybe I was just expecting too much after everyone raved about them on here. So much so I sent the first one back, but its replacement was no better.

Got a Portable Power jump starter now, it's bigger and heavier than the noco, but it's in another league performance wise. British and with great costumer service. I defiantly don't regret it, after my first one got nicked when my workshop was broken into I knew exactly where I was going for my replacement.

This is pack ive been looking at , good to hear that you are happy with it , ive bought a topdon last night cus were a few days next week and the car is telling me that it has a low battery even though a new one is installed and been no problem it does make you nervous away from home though . I like the portable power is repairable and you can get new batteries for them . may splash out on one also

Can I have that please if no one else snapped it up.

I left a control box switched on in tractor for a week. Battery stone dead. Went to get NOCO and it only had 25% charge. Thought I was wasting time even trying it but it started it no problem.

Bought a gooloo 4000s a while back. Wires and clips not as indsutrial as the noco but has a usb c 100w socket for charging and output. internal heat if too cold to start, smaller and probably less nickable. Much cheaper too.

Does anyone else find that the problem with the compact Lithium starters, is that the damned cables are often, too short, AND then the clamps are pants and won't open up enough to go on a battery terminal??

Yes - exactly that - I have a Sealey one that predates the Nocos & has to be charged up from a battery with more than 5v each time. My first one failed & Sealey replaced it, but the replacement has been fine for a couple of years - used about 1 mth mainly on small stuff like Wheelhorses etc. It failed dismally on my Zetor 7045 tho  I remember it DID start my old UTB 445 once ...

I have similar. Has its uses but I find it frustrating waiting for it to charge from the battery.
