I`m bored curious so,, Fendt, MF, Valtra...............all the same tractor are they not? so why the difference in breakdowns ect.?
It's like the New Holland vs Case . Now they are exactly the same tractors mechanically a few differences in layout and controls but nothing serious.

Round here anyone with a case is usually happier

Any difference in fendt and deere cost of ownership?
It's not easy to compare Fendt with others. Their horsepower is what it is but most others have some sort of boost. eg JD 6r 185 has boost on pto/hydraulic/roadspeed to maybe 220. Fendt 724 is 240 or 718 is 180. So, in theory you need Fendt 724 to match power of JD 185. Am I completely wrong on this ?
Which puts the Fendt 724 £35k+ more than JD. Fendt sales appear to agree with my analysis. OR I could buy Case and 'save' £50k over Fendt.;)

It is hard to match ‘like for like’ going off the numbers on the bonet but if you peel the stickers off the side and compare genuine HP for HP it’s much easier.
I am nor your financial advisor or wish to be. You do you boo 🤣

Guess that was the Q. What is genuine hp? I know they don't quote the boosted hp as the 'real' hp but then they couldn't claim boost if it's not there? It used to be just on pto and roadwork, now on hydraulic requirement too on JD - don't know what others state. BUT Fendt, I'm told, will soon enter the boosted market. Hmm.

Grown men saying “my brand of tractor is better than yours “is getting so boring. If this is so important to you, you ain’t got enough to worry about.
Any brand of bloody tractor breaks down at some point and costs a mint.
It’s just a fact of life.
yes main brand tractors have got far too expensive… hard times are coming like it or not in ag , but we been here before.
As farmers we will adapt and overcome or leave the industry.
Actually some don't break down. We've got 10,000 hours plus on five different makes of tractor and no major breakdowns.

£30 k in repairs in 6500 hrs on a Nh 260 , that sounds crazy , I heard they were giving bits of trouble but that’s mad, Iva a Valtra 254 with near 6000 hrs on it and I’ve replaced one fuse costing 10 cent.
was it not under warranty for the first 5000 hours 2 of the valtra tractors for sale local at 5 years old both about the 5000 hour both with new gearboxes in them & both for under 60k

My tractor had a 5000 hr warranty but it never had a claim . Unlike your fendt that needed a new engine.

Now that just isn’t true, it’s a well known fact that the inferior case models are turned out in undercoat and the better versions have a nice coat of blue paint applied before been sent to the dealers.

As an aside we had a puma 155 than a T6080 effectively replaced it, long story but both tractors were the same age and hours. The blue one was twice the tractor in every way. Ran smoother and pulled better too. And no we had them both on a dyno and neither had been messed with

724. With 8k hour warranty.
To be far with few 700's in the fleet, I am not sure if you need a long warranty , yes its nice to have , but 700's are not much trouble , on ours we have had the odd spool valve , add blue fault, air con & cab blower fault & thats about it , taking a standard warranty will make it good bit cheaper, maybe as much as 30 odd K less money
