I'm sure Its mentioned somewhere but as we know the search facility is a 'bit variable' :sneaky: to say the least .

So yes - the OP needs to worry. Odds of the gardener picking up all hedge trimmings is nil, and sheep will try and eat them.

I've lost sheep from rhodedendron poisoning during heavy rain - plenty grass but instead they hid under the bushes and poisoned themselves.

Nope, between our garden and "wee field" which often has too many sheep in it. Needless to say, they clean one side of hedge and wife asks the same question every time, will grow bac...........

Sheep and cattle will rarely eat plants which are poisonous. Virtually all are very bitter which is natures way of defending from browsing. It is normally only desperately hungry animals or the presence of wilted material where the bitterness has worn off where poisoning occurs

yes we find they do browse lower leaves and the neighbour who planted the hedge get s annoyed.
they will pick at it through the stockfence that's there.

weve had a bit trouble with Rhododendron as well if the truth be known .:cautious:
