Does any one know where I could get some parts for a gp2.30 baler, or what are the other makes of the same baler under a different name such as vicon

MP130 was available 25 years ago, could be nearer 30 since the GP2.30 was new
I seem to remember my GP2.30 with twin tie and wrap being here in the mid 1980’s, so 40 years ago. It is a wonder that any are still in working order. More of a chance if they were used exclusively for hay and straw with no silage work. With net wrap, this is almost a one-man baler as it needs a lot of understanding. There’s almost a knack to keeping it working consistently. In best conditions it is capable of making 60 bales an hour though.

It turned the bale quickly, so netted quick, straightforward as long as you adjusted the tension on the net roll cover as the roll reduced in size. But yes, 60 good bales a hour quite possible.

What parts are you looking for? pretty sure I’ve got some various springs for one of those still here
Not fully sure what I need yet, starting tomorrow, I know I’m trying to convert it into a net baler so looking for that whole system but after tomorrow I’ll know what else I need

Oh dear! I wouldn’t even consider converting one to a net baler. It is an exceedingly complex conversion and the setting of the straight knife and anvil and all the linkages involved in everything will be a total nightmare. Honestly, your time would be far better spent doing something productive than doing something that will likely drive you mad and not work even after you are confined to the looney bin.

Just my opinion. Try and see whether I’m right and do report back either way.
