    Roll over sheet centre pole.

I've a roll over sheet to put on a recently purchased grain trailer. A lot seem to come with a center pole on the top of the peak. Is this to retain rigidity?, less prone to getting blown off when rolling up in the wind? None of our current trailers have this. Some of the lorries I've seen...

    Another scam looks like?

In this month's Farm Machinery Journal.... Very nice shiny advert. What interested me was it's location. Apparently 20mins from me. Will be even closer for @nick... Postcode brings up the nursery and the adnams pub in the village they are based in. Very strange range of prices. Some, I'd...

    Replying on a thread.

Phone, had an update a few days ago. Now everytime I try to reply on a thread it doesn't allow me to type bellow the message I quote? Only started happening since the update 🤔 So I can only type within the message quoted 🤦‍♂️ It's also affected pictures as well. In that the option to have a...

Biodiversity net gain metrics and units.

Currently listening to a AHDB talk on this. Natural England Bod doing the talk. Lots being mentioned that is ringing alarm bells. 30yr legal responsibility agreements. Measured, monitored by planning authority Initial assessment measurement, by an ecologist rather than land owner...

    Church covenants on land.

To start with, this isn't effecting me. On some ground I make hay, the tenants rent some land from the diocese. Just a few acres, nothing flash. Near a stream, so half classed as flood plain. Planning has been tried, and chucked out immediately. Anyway the field next to them been left to rack...

AHDB Emails between various bodies/Red Tractor etc.

As mentioned on various other threads but not with its own dedicated thread...... FOI on AHDB Emails that apparently has shown the hypocrisy and conversations between the levy/tax drawing* bodies involved with farmers. *(delete as appropriate) @Grass And Grain suggested a new thread so it...

    Greyscale/blue writing

Morning all. Yesterday the screen background changed to black. It's probably a setting I changed without realising 🤦‍♂️ It's currently hurting my eyes! Can't figure out how to change it back to white background 🙈 Any pointers please....!

    Moisture meter, grinding or not?

Our ancient moisture meter has died. It was an old protimeter that required a ground sample. Narrowing down to a new one, either the Wile 55 or Wile 78 look most likely in terms of budget and avaliabity to me. We grow wheat, barley, peas and occasionally linseed and beans. We also do on...

    Brown's straw chopper blades.

I'm (slowly) resurrecting a Brown's straw chopper from a forgotten part of the farm. Are the blades still available? I vaguely remember when we got it you could get different types of blade; ie for semi flailing/cutting of grass.
