Around 45, was better the year before but the yield was consistent. 48 is exceptional, best oils we got came from being late getting round to dessication
It's DSV Duplo, it has been very good the last few years, high oil content too. And seed well priced. Only thing is it can get very tall and thick stemmed, which is good in a drought but takes some dying off and combining.
Thinking of trying Dolphin as it's shorter but then that doesn't have...
Got the flowering spray on yesterday. Definitely our worst year for flea beetle and stress growing, but the hybrid has really pulled together especially after the final N.
Was thinking of going back to conventional but it does seem you really need strong vigour to get through the season these days.
I usually let frosts in the winter sort most of them out, money better spent on helping the crop get away in the spring once they're out of the way. Your osr looks plenty well established enough that it won't bother it to much.
Got a mounted combimix discordon, what are people doing for scrapers on the emo packer. Can't get them anymore, does anyone know of other DD style scrapers that fit straight on?
I got offered export up to 1.9 last year, trader reckons they'll be keen this year as Danish crop is poor. Currently getting ours tested and thought it looked rough but he said it was some of the nicer stuff he'd seen!
The machinery companies really have performed a masterclass when you think about it. Everybody got sold a 100k plus drill that can do everything and traded all their cultivation gear in for pennies.
Then when you start getting some issues they can supply a new LD subsoiler, straw rakes, maybe...
Got once round the headland last night in first field of Typhoon before rain came in. Seemed to yield well but it's sprouted very badly in the ears wherever laid compared to Graham.
No use for fss as planned. Going to try some Oxford and maybe tapestry if i can get hold of it this year
The stores round here are nowhere near full like they were last year, close by estates getting ton an acre at best. People giving it up for the risk/reward.
I know they don't want it to be, but i can't see how it isn't 450 minimum
Oh really, i bought a second hand 42m machine and im pretty obsessive about fiddling with settings.
After getting the deadzones, gains tweaked etc im really happy with it, happily cruise through some of the roughest headland trams you could throw at it now.
Just want extra sensors for when...
We've got an 828 and 724, both lush tractors. Just thinking of changing our older NH tractor for something affordable that can still do some good pulling with potential to pull the drill with a full hopper faster.
Is the 6250r any more comfortable than the 6215r? I've driven them a fair bit and...
Don't want to make a Fendt JD bashing thread but i was just wondering if anyone has experience of the pull on a 6250r compared to an 828? On a vaderstad rapid 6m for example?
I had same with feeris about 3 weeks ago, still 25cm off ground though. Kept pigeons off and will be in shed asap once combine decides to stop playing up
I used to grow 6 row conventional funky and generally got on well, however due to wheat volunteers i bought hybrid in this year alongside a little feeris
The hybrid is standing well and looks great as did the feeris until most of it fell over
I noticed at cereals this year the only barleys...
Starting to see a lot more news articles about world droughts and poor crops, it's too late for a lot of them now. Hopefully get a bounce good enough to not feel like we're giving it away.
November wheat up a fiver
