But its our fence, I know I put it up! I would always expect electric his side?Hasn't he got as much right to use his field a you use yours? Surely it was always going to be a problem?
Have you spoke to them about it before? But its our fence, I know I put it up! I would always expect electric his side?
Always wire up. I left it with farm owner to deal with it.Have you spoke to them about it before?
Ok so it's ok someone elses sheep on our land? Shouldn't they be fenced in as a rule of thumb? There is a shaw a ditch and 5 strands of excellent ht barbwire but im the arsehole? There boundary hasn't got a thing.YOUR OWN sheep got out through YOUR OWN fence! The only bad manners are YOUR OWN for having the arrogance to blame your neighbour rather than apologise! General rule is you fence your stock in, which you didn't
Checked our sheep on 5 strands of good barb and keep sheep turned up in next field nose to nose. As our tups been in 6 weeks they thought a load of cull ewes would be better and got out. 1 now limping.
Luckily theres an old gate I got in there to re catch our rams and have now moved the group away to next field that's netted but still nose to nose. No other land without going in trailer so it looked like I'm going to have to move them. Just bad manners with risk of disease.
Are they your sheep? If so I'm taking my fence down in a mo, have fun getting your sheep back! After all it's my fence keeping your sheep in.Sorry but anybody who thinks using strands of barb wire is adequate fencing to keep there sheep in or somebody else’s sheep out ESPECIALLY A BOUNDARY FENCE!! regardless wants a length of the blue stuff round the back of the head ?? stock net or your always going to have the risk of it happening... you can’t expect somebody else to not put tips out with there ewes or put tips on there own land just because you want too put ewes in your field...

Also some of u lot are dame rude, do you know me?
This land owner isnt the owner of the other sheep they are just keepers. The boundary isnt our fence line, they are in our woods ditches etc.Not my sheep at all and not got a clue who you are but youv fenced your stock in with unsuitable fencing and your moaning that they got out or a tup has gotten in...
My neighbour looks after his fences and I look after my fences, some of my boundaries are his fences ... it would be bloody stupid for me to put another fence up right next too it .. but it’s a proper fence! So if my sheep wreck it or get through it... I sort it... if his do the same he will sort it... but it’s a proper fence so that doesn’t happen and everybody sleeps at night happy

Also if your neighbour was a wheeler dealer of cull ewes would you be happy for his sheep to come onto your land with the associated disease risk?
You wouldnt worry about disease then with them touching through be it 5 strands of barb, stock net deer fencing while on your land? You would just accept the disease risk?As I said if your boundary was secure you’d have no problems... don’t know how people can farm without a secure boundary it’s just asking for trouble and a headache

To be picky they are now on the 20 acres that we got next to the other field. my job for tomorrow is to move them all off even though grass there as the neighbouring sheep are not fenced in there own land and are still in our woods ditches and right nose to nose, or do i wait for the itch spreading trough own 3000 sheep or the tups hanging from the 2 top strands of barb over the stock net.
Now ive got to isolate these sheep in case of disease, irrespective of the ram jumping the fences they are touching though the stock net.
And yet im still branded the bad farmer?
