No retailers want massive chops as they add up to too much money at POS. Can't really share a chop, can you?
I'll tell you tonight 👍- chef says we're having one between us for tea.
Some talk of taking the bone out and cooking it like a steak??
Not sure on the technicalities as what goes on in the kitchen is way above my pay grade.

....well, I maybe had the biggest half but Mrs YB said she'd got more than enough.
Looks like the bone stayed in 😙 Came with roast tates, parsnips, carrots, cabbage, caramelised onions and gravy 😋

Think NPA are already on it, but do you think the BBC will really be interested, after all the supermarkets are hero's keeping the country fed despite the adversities to the pandemic.

Will cook like shoe leather. The best thing to do with them would be to dice them and put in a curry, cheap meal for the family.

Pork loin needs to be thick and on the bone as a chop to cook well in my opinion.
If you want a pork steak use shoulder steaks, they have enough fat in to cook well, will be more tender and juicy.

M & S free range pork loin steaks £15 per kilo wonder how much of the difference between the two the farmer sees?

Agree. Our Pork loin steaks are £15/kg,too. In our case, the farmer sees all of it. In all honesty, I'd rather sell loins as Bacon as that is more money again.

tesco tweet....apparently there is a shortage of british pork due to the late cereal harvest

edit..i took 'harvest' to mean cereal ...thus late corn thus late pork.....but it seems tesco meant 'pork harvest' :scratchhead:
SOOOOO would be the british pork harvest that takes place just after the italian spaghetti harvest and the great antartic penguin (biscuit) harvest ..... jesus what a world we live in
