1135 FastTrac Air Brake control for trailer

Have an older 1135 JCB Fastrac that I am going to haul a large pup style dump trailer that has air brakes. The glad hands are on the back of our machine but my question is where do you activate the trailer circuit so air is applied to the supply line and control lines when the tractor brake valve is pushed in and/or brake pedal depressed. There must be a switch or valve somewhere so the tractor knows when the trailer is hooked up that I cannot locate.

From memory, it’s always active.
the foot brake and hand brake both activate the air brakes. There is a lever on the floor by the hand brake that will allow you to release the trailer brakes whilst keeping the tractor hand brake on. This resets every time you apply the handbrake.

From your OP I assume you have the open type of connectors rather than the self sealing type.
must be some taps somewhere ?
Thank you for the response. They are open style "glad hands" so the charge line would leak air constantly and the control line would leak every time the pedal was pushed. There is a dust cover that swings down into place when not in use but the dust cover does not seal. I thought there would be valves on the lines or a switch to activate the trailer circuit but still haven't found it. I will take a picture of the connection points.

Here are some pictures of the connections for the trailer. I have the dust covers rotated up. The dust covers do not seal, they are loose fitting. The last picture is the parking brake release knob. The knob out, the air is discharged and the tractor brakes are applied. Pushed in, it charges the air in the system and releases the parking brake. It looks like a prior owner must have added this parking brake release so maybe they disconnected lines to the trailer brakes from whatever the original valve was. My plan is to remove the seats and panel to see if I can figure out which lines are suppose to be feeding the trailer. Does anyone on the forum have the same style trailer connections and if so, can you send me a picture of your parking brake release.
