200l/ha nozzle choices

Hello everyone,

I’m after a bit of help deciding on which way to go with nozzle choices for Pre Em’s this year.
We have decided to spray all our Pre Em’s at 200l/ha. Previously we’ve been 100l/ha 12 kph with Defy 3d’s.
We are able to use both our spray lines to give us 25cm nozzle spacing.
So is it better to get some Defy’s for 200l/ha at 50cms or buy some more bubblejets 03’s with angled caps and run them alternating forwards and backwards along the boom as well as my standard nozzles giving me 25cm spacing @ 200l/ha?.

Any experience with this nozzle setup or information would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks

All I know is I got some 05 teejet tti 90% low drift jobs a couple of years ago and then enabled me to get pre ems on at all when I wouldn't have been able to go with anything else. 10k, 200lts. Slow and boring but works fine. Used to use defy 3ds forward and back at 100 lts, but too drifts imo for use near houses.

Have a look at the research below ( I should credit Agrovista for the work, and Barrie Hunt for bringing it to my attention).
200l/ha is not enough, you need 300. And don't spend money on fancy nozzles, flat fans and slow forward speed are the keys to success.
