Looking at getting a 13t+ digger. Will mostly be used on farm work. Seen jcb 130 and 145 for sale and they seem bit cheaper than competitors why?
Mostly used case 130b which I drove on a job for few years and it was very reliable and happy with it.
Also used a newer Hitachi and doosan.
Am looking at diggers above 2015 up to a 2019.

I’ve a 2015 js130 it’s a nice digger to drive but the four digit immobiliser code drives me nuts as does the need to press a button beside drop the safety arm every time you get on it.😡
It’s half the digger my Hyundai is,that’s a proper farmer digger, you jump on and it’s digs like a hero from the off, mate of mine has a couple of case diggers and he really rates them, personally I’m not a fan of the joysticks they seem heavy to me,I’m on the lookout for a Hitachi to replace the js but they’re expensive because the Irish boys love them so much.😂

The immobiliser can be turned off by the dealers laptop, 1st thing I've done to the last few Js's i've bought! Agree about the button as well.

For a farm digger where you might be stop start a lot the older JS's with the old style dash were better- jump on and turn key and it went, none of this turn key and wait for it to all boot up and unlock each time it's started.

The 13 ton jcb would be the smallest jcb excavator I'd want to use.those below that weight leave a bit to be desired.I'm sure you will be fine with it but don't expect it to match the case.

Heard good reports about doosan. But know nothing about them
Drove a Volvo found it good but nearly too powerful would feel like it was throwing me around
Am not stuck on any brand. More the fact it needs to be up in the years to put on finance so 15 is oldest I can go.
