Earlier varieties of grass went like stink and lots of bulk but the medium or later perennials seem to be taking their time but look to be very very thick...

New leys mowed on the 18th April are average top of wellie height already, had 60 units on the 22nd

Any pictures of the bout of grass?
Alot of that stuffs all show and no go in my experience. Looks a great crop, then you go in with mower and not much there.
