2021 Countryside Stewardship Payment

Had mine early December, last year of agreement so I am finished 1/1/22. First time we have been paid this early by months. All getting ploughed up as soon as possible after 1st January, as DEFRA couldn’t update payments to realistic rates in time for a new agreement.

That's good at least they've started, hope it won't be too long here. When the a neighbours agreement ran out they told him they couldn't offer a new 5 year deal but that he could keep going on the same rates year by year until CS ends completely.

Should have finished last year, but in the end took a one year extension, but had too take a new 5 year one out from the end of this year as no yearly extensions were offered. The payment rates no longer add up with bps dropping, and on FBT rents.

Not Expecting HLS money before feb
iam now into my last year of 10 but probs just going to extend it as ive allready had the visit regarding this
some say oh drop it & move onto a new scheme blah blah blah
That all costs money & for nearly three months next year i'll get nothing
Mid Oct is my end date.
So ive also heard you get less on the perm grass options than i currently receive but more on arable things?
Id rather grow more cereals than less tho!
They just dont get it do they

Thats my concerns when asked about what i thought about extending it i simply said it really needs too be a bit more money now... 10years ago it was right but needs an uplift now.

Anyone get theirs yet?
Mine still says claim validation.
Waiting.....

Last year here as well, too. I was offered an extension, but declined as I did not like the risk of backdated penalties for 11-12- years, if I was found in breach! Once bitten, etc etc

I explained the issue and was not reassured by the response... I believe that this might have changed?

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
