Looked on the Companies House web site, don’t know if it’s the same people but one of the directors was William Danger, it said the Company was dissolved on the 07/01/2020.

Is it more the case Wayne and the DVLA can’t tell you because of Data protection or such like !.

There could be potential issues with giving out information but there is no reason why they can't offer to contact the buyer / owner and ask them if they would like to get in touch.

A simple example is when I found some sheep and couldn't find any owner, I contacted Defra with the flock number and although they wouldn't tell me the owner, they could give the owner my details if I was happy for them to do so.
