I know it's had the push in England, but that's there, and this is here.
Do we know what's occurring in Wales ? Getting a bit late now for planning / ordering seed etc

Looks like the end is nigh for one of the stupidest EU rules ever. (y)

" The Minister is introducing legislation to remove BPS Greening requirements from 1 January 2021, this includes crop diversification and EFAs. Further information will be provided once the legislation comes into force. "

You corn barons will be pleased. (y)

I wouldn't have been surprised if Greyford had decided to keep it, or even made it a 4 crop rule....

Well, it's an extra couple of £k for me every year, not having to grow unprofitable crops that no one wants. I could almost grow to like WAG......
Shame they're waiting till Jan, 6 months after most folks have made their 2021 cropping plans, but never mind.

Whilst it was undoubtedly a sledgehammer to crack a nut, I can see the point if it stops wall to wall prairies of Winter Wheat or Maize in the Eastern Counties, but hardly an issue in Wales with it's generally smaller farms, smaller fields and more woodland/hedgerows & grassland. We have plenty of diversity already for the most part.

If you'd ever had to deal with the RPA in England, you would love WAG already, believe me!
