depending on your site I would normally reckon 1-2 years is fine but beware of the grey algal build up as that is very difficult to remove, once it is established
We have built a special pressure washer jet to do the job

How often does solar require a wash and is it a pressure washer job or bucket and sponge?

We do them every year. It’s amazing how much general dust grime bird mess they get on them. We use soft water and a long brush.

Before refurb it was in teens of kw.You will recoup the cost within 18mths

Yeh 2 have had magnits resined on so we are going to put new blades on them. Just waiting on prices. Needing to get back up to 30000kw + every year again. Thanks

We were told you had to buy complete pair and new stator core/coil, nothing about re setting loose or broke ones??☹
But new are completely submerged in resin not just stuck on like old sets.

New blades been on 2 turbines for 5 days now. Done 861kw and 866kw in that time. Old blade turbine which was the middle productive before is at 548kw. Wish i started this thread a year ago.

Like for like when you put new blades along side old blades on floor what did they look like?

Pretty similar bit more of a curve on them and a rounded tip.

I reckon the last 24 months windspeeds have been lower than average . Certainly has been here in NE England

Not an expert (or even knowledeable) but seem to remember Provens have springs (z springs ??) to hold blade angle into wind -these become weak and let blades furl early ?? worth looking into ??
