And so it begins… oddly, I don't think that Brexit will be the deciding factor in this leadership election. Rather, I think it likely that personal interest - i.e. government jobs - and the next, possibly very soon, General Election will focus minds. It will be a sad reflection if the parliamentary Conservative party can't come up with anyone better than TM.

Is anyone of the so called big hitters going to want it so they can drive this bus at this stage?

No idea. But a point I raised a few weeks ago has been raised again on the BBC this morning i.e. that the current Cabinet signed up to TM's agreement, those outside Cabinet did not, this being so it would be very hard for anyone seeking the leadership from inside Cabinet to claim the 'deal' was either unsatisfactory or is need of renegotiation...

She's not gone yet.
And I for one, don't reckon she will.
How to get a dead horse out of an inaccessible stable?

If she survives and she will I suggest, will it not therefore be incumbent on the Tory MP’s to back her deal in the house next month. At a minimum the anti deal faction should abstain!!!
Can you not smell the stench already from the decaying corpse of the DUP:whistle::whistle:

It is a very hard call, from outside of the Parliamentary Conservative Party. I've spoken to a couple of friends in Central Office and they disagree entirely, one saying she will lose pretty soundly, the other that she will win pretty safely... :banghead:

so if the eu is to be taken at face value and what tm got is the best on offer what is a new pm going to do different apart from cancel brexit or tell them to shove it ?

I don't take them at face value, they are a bunch of undemocratic liars. (y)

nor do I so the best thing that could happen is TM wins and that then gives the impression that there is no where to go and so lobs the ball back at the EU cut of your nose to spite your face idiots
