Can I disconnect the drive to the front hydraulic pump and run the engine briefly or will bad things happen. I have acquired a strange vibration/drumming noise at low revs and I wanted to rule out the hydraulic circuit. Cheers

The front connection damper usually chackles and rattles when it is worn out, I wouldn’t say it drums tbh. I lost a clutch disc paddle once, and after the initial bang when it broke free, it definitely drummed and vibrated.

Just want to eliminate the hydraulics as the coupling isn’t very old and it had a new clutch and flywheel 2 years ago. It was on the hedge cutter for a couple of days and when removed it had a really bad vibration in the cab. All hydraulics work fine but I can just feel a light pulsing when touching the hydraulic pipes. I’m sure this is normal but just wanted to eliminate the hydraulics before delving further. At tickover you can feel the cab shake but as the revs increase it goes, although when driving in the road it seams to vibrate the accelerator pedal. I know there is something not quite right. Cheers
