In my opinion Mitas have improved significantly over their previous incarnation "Continental", but still would have soft sidewalls and would not be my choice for hedge cutting tractors.
If doing a lot of hedge cutting I would be considering BKT's steel-belted 580-70r38.

Would 650/65 38 not be better in wet times, should fit straight on the same rims. Mabe its just me but 65 series tyres always seem to last longer than 70 series
