I bought the 77 to take a few hours of the 75 (just the lighter jobs), I've had it 18months ish and it's taken a lot to get it upto standard!!me thinks the previous owner let it go abit:banghead:,

The clutch cable was melted, the exhaust was fecked pretty much right thru, new grammer seat, Puh refurb, alternator, sort out 50% of the lights and wire the beacons up properly (it looked like a 3 year old could have done a better job of the pervious effort:rolleyes:) 4wd clutch pack & handbrake overhaul, tls accumulators at eye watering price!!! And Theres a front linkage with accumulator on order of guy

So it's getting upto standard now,

Will be fitting a creeper box as soon as it lands from the states( for hedge cutter that needs 700 pto rpm)

I used it on first cut silage carting for a few weeks before I sorted the tls which tested the grammer seat but it's loads better now the accumulators have been fitted,

It's main job it on the big hedge cutter it's ideal for that, also used it for rolling, carting etc it is dated compared to 75 but I'm happy to jump on either and there is a certain something about the 77;)

A few picsView attachment 89654

Was on 20.8's when i bought it, got some 710/600's put on her pic below is not long after I got it

I think the 75 has overtaken the 77 on the hours now:facepalm:

Thanks for interest
Your old chap really didn't want his pic taken in the last photo did he?

Can someone with a 30 series that has a separate altinator belt do me a favour and take a picture of how the belt sits on the alt pulley?

The 75 shredded a 100 hour new belt today and I just wanted to make sure the new ones on right (as the alt pulley has about 3 grooves that arnt used)

It's a stretch belt bit of a w#nk idea tbh

@Tullyvernon will sort a vid it's all abit busy atm tho

Ours shredded one this summer @Rusty#1 I will get a picture of it tonight when she's back in from ploughing its an odd set up IMO as well.

Here you go @Rusty#1 there are 2 spare grooves on the front of the alternator pulley hope this helps.

@Boothy thanks for that much appreciated(y)(y)

That's how it was fitted after the rebuild and how the new one got fitted today, I notice you have a different make of belt to what I have atm (Goodyear belt supplied by dealer) so if it goes again I'll get the same make as you have, not all bad tho now I'm aware I'll carry a used spare I've got(same make as u have from what I renember) and make sure I've got the tools to change it!!

Is it plastic tensioned on the back of the belt? Sometimes the jockey pulley wears uneven leaving it running out of line with the belt? The writing was still on the back and it broke ........

The alternator belt only a short stretch belt(right ball ache to fit) that goes from the main fan pulley to the alternator so no idlers run on the back of the belt like the main fan belt?

No problem @Rusty1 Ours came from RFS so guess its what dealers choose to stock? ours split right down the middle two grooves then it just gave up glad I could help.

That's what my original belt did at about 5500 hrs,I'd hazard a guess jd have changed supplier :banghead:

Now carrying my stock of a used alt belt and main belt just incase!

Thanks once again for the pic it's put my mind at rest;)

Just had a wee think ................
But, how is it tensioned, the alternator on slots, or what?
Did it snap or burn through in one spot?

That was below the belt about the extra lights @Sals dad .............

The is no adjustment it's called a stretch belt, basically undo 4 17mm nuts on fan hub move fan foward put belt over hub the take alternater off its mounts put belt on alt pulley then use a pry bar to pry alternater and get the mount bolt in and that's its tension w*nk idea tbh

Haha I have to put up with @Sals dad every day @Mursal im use to it by now lol;)(y)
