The lever that operates the loader, mounted to the right of the steering wheel, suddenly went all sloppy today.

The hydraulics all still work, but the lever's lost most of its self-centring action.

Has anyone had one of these apart? What's inside that might have broken?

Just been reading about pivot balls.. Maybe that's the problem. Will nip out & have a look.

Don't think there is a rubber boot anymore, you can see quite a lot inside straight off..

What's the little yellow lever for at the base of the housing?

I would say the pivot ball has lost its coating. Pretty simple replacement. Can also happen to the balls on the end of the cables, requires new cable unfortunately.
The yellow lever is to lock off the joystick to stop it being used.
