A recommendation for a smart phone speedometer app

Hi, I use a GPS phone app by Smart Mobile Tools, for use with an older JD Gator. The app can be set with a black background with a bright display of large numbers so is quick and easy to read in bright sunlight, but at speeds of less than 10kph fluctuates 2 or 3 units each side of target speed which I manage by averaging but it would be easier if it was steadier. I am asking if anyone has found a more consistent app with a good display for bright conditions, or is it just asking too much for a phone app to achieve? Many Thanks.

I've not came across a speedometer app that is 100% accurate imo, I have Tractor Speed app on android here, seems fairly accurate.
Best to lay phone flat on a solid surface on the machine for the most accurate reading

AFAIK slow speeds being inaccurate is down to the civilian gps systems being a bit downgraded.

Cyclops - it’s a speed camera App, and it’s accurate - checked against the radar speedo on our tractor, a Road Angel and a Snooper.
It has to be accurate to carry out its purpose.
You can download it for a free trial, and then it’s £2.99 or thereabouts for 12months.
It has a bright display of mph against a black background.

I occasionally use GPS Speedometer on Android, just the free version, it has digital and dial in the same display. I can't tell you much more because I use it so ocassionally.

Thank you @Deerefarmer, @Frankzy, @Grouse and @Michael S for your replies you have given me food for thought. I did install the tractor speed app this evening and quick test around the garden on foot meet with approval. cheers again.
