What software are people using or going to use for the making tax digital as of April
Great thanks my accountant says both are as good as each other so it will come down to the easiest to use

Use what fits with your accountant.
Pretty sure you can have a 30 day trial of each.
Let us know how you get on.
Fits with tax man more like ?Use what fits with your accountant.

Self Assessment and tax accounts interface as all online these days too.
I think I read somewhere that you can get a programme that converts your system to one that hmrc will accept, thats what I want as i made my own spreadsheet based one and it is easy to use and works how i wantWas talking with accountant yesterday and yes of course has to fit with new VAT regime et al and he has asked a number of package providers to go & see him so that he can access which will work best for his clients across a range of businesses but it does have to work for him too. Pity of it is is that he had formulated his own spreadsheet for us that worked brilliantly but is not HMRC compatible
Going to have to run a new package alongside his spreadsheet for 6 months so my brain can bed in
Many accountants don't like Xero as it cuts down their work and therefore the amount they can charge.Use what fits with your accountant.
Changed from Sage to Xero in April. Really like it.
Precisely the reason my firm does like it as accountant's, cuts out lots of bookkeeping leaving more time to focus on strategic advice. Much better value for money. Many accountants don't like Xero as it cuts down their work and therefore the amount they can charge.
