Who is everyone insured with? Mines up for renewal at the moment and would like to shop around, environmental cover and employee liability both on the policy. My current insurer specifically excludes environmental and I am not happy about it.

NFUM insure a lot of AD plants.
Worth talking to them as they have a renewables dept.

We're currently using NFU.
We have loss of earnings as well as LARGE environmental clean up policy.
It is subbed out to a third party, but through NFU. We looked at other well known Ag insurers but decided on old faithful! Not always the cheapest but always been great at helping/paying if needed.

Perhaps try Alan Boswell. They came recommended to us when the NFU said they would not insure us. They did our plant when it was just a 500kw chp but said they would not do it when we expanded to a gas to grid plant. Insurance is not cheap and it would appear as though there are fewer and fewer players in the market. We have not had a claim on two plants now for coming up three and four four years on each.
