I have recently bought a few in lamb pedigree Beltex ? and I am in need of advice on lambing. Had Suffolk’s before and they were a nightmare! I want to be as prepared as possible with the beltex’ so How long prior to lambing to people bring them in? And mainly I’ve been told don’t feed them prior to lambing! Once they have and all going well what should I feed them? any Other tips would be greatly appreciated!!!!

thinking of buying a beltex tup To tup 5 pedigree texel ewes I have to breed more of my own tups, and he will also cover about 40 older ewes....I haven't had a beltex for about 10 years as the last one tupped one ewe and popped his hooves....are they any better these days or am I nuttier than...

Clam them up and then switch on the feed after lambing to get the milk pumping. Treat them mostly opposite to suffolks I would have thought!
