You all seem very quiet on this, which way did your MP vote.I note all 3 MPs in this rural area voted for it.Retirement could come early and I pity the young.Sadly those in power fail to remember how farmers fed this country in 2 wars.At least EU protected us .
look in the politics section make sure you've a stiff drink on hand when you do

What's in this bill that's bad for farmers?
Haven't really been paying attention to the other threads.
We are just wanting imports to be at the same standard as the UK. Just as you would expect with car safety standards or pharmaceutical standards etc. I don’t think it’s too much to ask that any meat imported must have the same costs as me. For example electronic tags, dead stock disposal, dipping disposal costs and test, trailer test costs, 6 day standstill etc etc otherwise we are competing with one hand tied behind our backs. It’s a shame our politicians don’t feel the same way despite this being a manifesto pledge. Luckily my MP, a vet, has voted for the amendment so hasn’t wasted my vote.

East Sussex.
Why would you want a competitor to have a product as good as or better than yours?
Same old same old farmers.
Want to sell at world market wholesale and buy retail priced inputs.

electronic tags, dead stock disposal, dipping disposal costs and test, trailer test costs, 6 day standstill, minimum wages etc etc, these sort of things are costs we must bear that do not make our end product in any way a better product than that of our competitors.

If they don't do the above, our product is better, surely?
Plenty of excellent selling points there.
Well done for identifying them.

Just because we need paperwork to have a pee it doesn't make our product any superior. We left Europe what did everyone expect? Just one way trade deals? where we would not import food products?

Gove after all his assurances voted against the Neil Parrish amendment, as did present incumbent Eustice

Plus my local MP alongside many other rural constituency MP's

Rishi Sunak voted for and Harriet Harmon was one of two Labour who voted No, each very strange instances

Surprised at Eustice, thought he would have appreciated the situation, clearly the whips got to him and he is mindful of the next reshuffle?
