The Red Globe grapes look delicious(y) I see they have pips. In the UK the supermarkets and consumers seem to have decided that they prefer seedless grapes which is a shame as they quite often seem sweeter than the seedless types.

You are right @jade35 we picked what we liked from vineyard and just couldn't stop eating.

Check this another Indian grown very popular seedless variety and exported variety called "Manik Chaman"

I feel like I'm losing out so much on only knowing grapes here as red, green and red seedless :ROFLMAO: I'll have to pay more attention and see which ones I enjoy more!

Things seem out of control for prices here at the moment. Those grande optimists of the buyer persuasion were predicting a drop in prices back in January before the markets kicked back in. They couldn't go higher could they? Personally figuring they wouldn't go down I was eternally hopeful they wouldn't go up. Sadly even the news of the BSE case last month fuelled my dream of a realistic cattle market by bringing the price down a little bit but even that doesn't seem to have effected much. The markets are about the same to be fair. Reports from auctions may even be down a bit in the bred cow department but while browsing the buy and sell website this morning I found ads the like of these...

150 cow/calf pairs for sale. Calves started dropping in January (sounds like they're most likely still calving or just finishing). $5,500 a pair.

First calf angus and sim cross heifers with 2 week to day old calves on the ground. Sired from a $5,500 performance bull (Whoppeedoo). $4,700 a pair.

2 week old Fleckvieh heifer calf $950.

Sad when the 2 week old calf is the best deal.... Sure wish I had a dozen cow calf pairs kicking around if this is what people are actually getting for them!
