AHDB Eat balanced TV ad

On a call with AHDB this morning
Can not specify British due to state aid rules as they stand at the moment.
As for negative comments on FB etc, majority of consumers see these for what they are, untruths. I know we as farmers get frustrated by them but they are actually ignored.
Caution used by AHDB engaging with these activists due to personal attacks on staff and levy payers.

2000 times it was shown on TV
Every £1 spent equaled £9.60 in extra retail sales, (of course not all of which I believe would reach farmers)
Added £30 million to sales in total.

Don't shoot me the messenger.
They don't need to engage, just delete comments, it's pretty common practice on businesses Facebook pages

It's Love Lamb Week :) .
On the Love Lamb Week fb page there are posts pointing you to 'We Eat Balanced' (y) .
When you go to the We Eat Balanced fb page, the most recent post was on 22 June :banghead::banghead::banghead::mad::mad::mad: .

If a curious kid, or a journalist, or a politician, goes to the Animal Rebellion fb page, there are daily posts explaining why eating meat is destroying the planet. Do we not, in actual fact, care ? Are we just running the clock down to the day when everyone jacks it in ? Someone needs to explain to me why we are so purposely being so pathetic, because I really don't get it.

See from today's AHDB newsletter that it's back.
Spreading its lies to the British public about UK agriculture.

https://weeatbalanced.com/sustainability/

Livestock 7%. Crops 4%.
That's less than 1% of the UK population - you lot - producing more than 10% of GHG emissions. Quite a feat.
I recently had an email from AHDB that put sheep at 1%. I honestly think they are just making this stuff up as they go along.

I clicked on that to see "how bad can this be?" 7% doesn’t sound right for a start. I was looking at a scientific paper yest that stated 6% using the same wrong metric.

The AHDB actually quote Poore & Nemecek. WTAF???

Mrs TM spent a couple of hours of her life that she'll never get back in a meeting this afternoon with environment agency staff discussing how to reduce their personal carbon footprints.
A lot of them are frequent flyers from what I can gather but a large proportion of them were reducing their meat consumption to save the world 🙈.
The data used in a survey they had to complete was from the WWF, no doubt produced from Poore and Nemecek figures.
What beggars belief (well not really)is these so called intelligent people lap this crap up and don't question what they are being told.

Based on AHDB figures they would be right to do so.
Cows 6%.
All of transport 24%.
Assuming flying is less than 25% of transport, then cutting out beef will have a greater environmental benefit than giving up flying.

We pay for the AHDB to come out with this anti-farming propaganda. So who is at fault ? The EA staff looking to do their bit ? Or us for allowing this bullsh!t to continue ?
