Super looking heifers! What’re you doing to keep the crypto at bay?

Forgot to add we have foot dips outside each group of calves and in the bull calf pens we disinfect in between groups. We used to steam
Clean in between groups but it was pointed out that this had the
Potential to spread disease to other groups in the shed so now We clean out then brush out pens before disinfecting

Criteria for sexed. Bulling and not being in bottom 10% on production.

Sexed cr on cows mid 40s
Heifers not so sure as differentiation between ai s and bulls for pd not 100% due to both being 80 day plus but expecting mid 60s

Can I ask if anyone has started using uniform agri recently? Our fullwood rep has quoted us nearly £500 for a link that will allow the parlour to talk to uniform. It seems a bit steep to me as you then have to pay for the program as well!

Yes. We wanted a system that looked similar to Lely’s T4C in layout and intuition as we struggled with GEA’s Dairy Plan so piggyback Uniform on to DP.
IIRC there is a minimum price then you pay on number of cows plus extra for training. £500 sounds ok to me

From being a day behind at half way we are now 10 days ahead of last yr.
But today we only had one calf and the next few days look slow
