We used the nozzles off an old sprayer to create a wall of fine cold water in front of the parlour doors. Very little pressure is needed as it builds up in the hose.
Cows love it, flies won’t go through it. Spray off the parlour first to zap lurkers, then turn the water on. (y)

Saw this at a farm walk many years ago - can’t claim it.

Our red clover leys absolutely thrive on mowing heights of around 70-90mm - means you cut above the first leaves which then emerge within a couple of days so recovery time is shorter - cutting on 28-30 day rotation here.
Is that done simply by angling the mower back or with the use of some sort of spacer ?
