when I moved here we split the herd from my family and grew from there. I've always kept all the records so knew all the families and breeding behind all the cows but they didn't want to pay to be pedigree. So when I went on my own I could. My wife's grandparents had a Holstein herd which went to Cumbria after foot and mouthDid you establish the herd or was you family or your wife's family already milking? I seem to remember you rent the farm from your wife's grandparents?
