Logie is BFL X Texel.
Too many Suffolks there today with massive heads, ears and shoulders and thick boned. This Suffolk is 25% NZ and top 10% of breed and was a steal compared to what his others were making in the ring
Saw the Bentley suffolks online last night and thought they looked very well. N ice type of tupPicked these up for reasonable money. Yes agree, however the biggest boned, tallest, widest Rams commanded the highest prices, until buyers vote with their wallet and reject these Rams, the breeders will keep supplying them.
Couldn’t agree more. A lot of buyers want to talk about grass feeding but then pay the big bucks for the rams that roll in and out of the ring

That's a very interesting opinion, however what I look for in a Ram, obviously doesn't suit your system. I’m sure @Global ovine can give us some words of wisdom on this....There’s a reason they make the most money and it’s because they throw the best lambs.
Yours is not fit to be called a Ram !
I’d be ashamed to put up a pic of it. No wonder it was reasonable !
Is it such a big secret how much you paid ?
Pointless posting “reasonable money” imho opinion. I’d call killing money reasonable for that myself.
Sorry rant over but people knocking buyers for buying the best and taking home rubbish like that realy gets my goat.

On topic the rams I saw sold were well down on last year. Many many rams very low money apparently 80% clearance.
I’d suggest the NSA want to get their inspectors under control they are not fit for purpose saw one ram chucked out as only having one testicle.
He had two I’d be very proud of !
Can’t understand vendors allow idiots to ride roughshod over them.
Heard one chap tell the chief vet he was a bloody fool when a Ram he had was deemed overshot.
He then sold the ram privately for at least £100 more than he’d have made in the ring.
Buyers can decide at the end of the day surely !
