I hope your breakfasting on relief.

When I grew apples in the uk we had a Frost Buster, which worked well, but was hard work, and stressful. You needed to get going as the temperature dropped, keep going, not knowing where the temperature would bottom out.

So often you’d be out for hours , burning gas , And it wouldn't have been necessary. It did work though, one year we had several mornings of -5 to -8 and even the Bramleys got though un scathed. I lost the pump on my sprayer though, I was so wrapped up in frost protection I forgot didn’t think of protecting against the frost.

My Discovery were at the 12-15mm stage, I thought there was a decent amount (subject to June drop)
Looked again this evening and they appear completely buggered! Soft and shrivelled, I can't see them getting over it.
This morning I was doing a scab round on another orchard and thinking to myself "why am I even spraying these as there's nowt on them". God knows how the rest are going to turn out but it's not looking good right now and I am pretty sure it is already freezing out there now.
My (garden) potatoes are a mess, they look like they have had a dose of paraquat. No big deal but the 40 acres down the road are black as of this morning. That would really sicken me. (not mine)

My beech hedge didn't like the frost either. It was under pressure with the dry spell already.

Had to scrape the windscreen here this morning (Kent) , one of our landlords has a vineyard says it knocked a third of the shoots out, says they can come back but means spread out harvest.
