Anyone Lost 44 Ha in Norfolk?

Just been working through the last of my BPS claim and suddenly discovered that I have been given 44 ha of land somewhere in Norfolk on an OS TL tile area. I am ever so pleased as it looks to be lovely land, but I guess the real person who farms it might miss it.

It does make you wonder about how the RPA manage to make such major cock ups as this. They actually phoned me on another issue where a parcel size has become different on the Land shown to the Land Use by 2 ha. They said it is easy to get rid of the extra 44 ha I have suddenly received but much harder to put right the missing 2 ha which is mine!!

No wonder they can't pay the CS out.

Joy!

I aquired a block of land in Cumbria a few years ago according to the RPA!

Too hilly for me, so I tracked down and called the miserable git* that really owned it to warn him to check his BPS paperwork properly, and put it right...

* No thank you, no pleasantness in him at all actually.... Should have left it on my forms!

In the days before online registration I acquired a block of 'land' in the middle of Cardigan Bay. Ideal opportunity to diversify into fish farming.
My next door neighbour beat that when he had a complete farm fall into his lap. I think it was somewhere near Cowabunga. Neighbour reckoned it was too far away to farm successfully.

I was fined 3% of my BPS 3 years ago because I had declared less than 50% of my total land area.

I'm still looking for the other 750 acres that I am supposed to farm............... perhaps the 44 Ha in Norfolk is some of it and that explains why I have 14 toes !!

For the record, I still haven't been paid the 3% back.

Keep your head down Frank. That may well be grade 1 arable land you’ve apparently gained!
