Anyone rotational grazing near South Yorkshire?

Hi,
Is there anyone on here doing rotational grazing who would be willing for me to visit and learn enough to put a plan together for a small farm?
I am looking to get a small farm as a complete change of lifestyle and would like to see rotational grazing in action. None of the farms around me seem to do it.
I would be very grateful if anyone would be willing to assist, I live near Sheffield.
I am most interested in sheep, pigs and chickens, with a view to beef cattle in the future.
Hope you can help,

Courty

No replies unfortunately.
Anyone within reasonable travelling distance then?
I’ve followed the forum for a while but not posted because I’m not a farmer...yet!
I’m a non-farming professional and very genuine so please, if you are able to help, I would be very grateful.
I would be able to prove I’m not dangerous if anyone has been too cautious to answer.
Thanks
Courty

I imagine the majority of guys who are actively rotational grazing are dairy farmers.

Kiss, you could be right. I hoped someone nearby might be doing the rotational grazing as discussed in the main Holistic thread, New Zealand is a bit too far at the moment!
Maybe I can try contacting people in the UK direct that post on the web in various places and see where that takes me.
I thought that more people would be trying it.

@som farmer sounds like a expert on rotational grazing. Going by suckler cow profitability thread.
all I want, is a profitable beef industry, so when we can no longer dispose of crap calves, and we go to sexed semen, or similar, we will have a market for our calves. But the benefits of rotational grazing, can be easily seen, without spending a fortune. It has totally altered the financials, for the spr grazing herds, not slightly, but hugely, have you tried it ?

So do you a actually do it? Or just tell others what they should be doing, cause you read it somewhere! If you do could you help the person that started this thread? Thats why i tagged you.

We rotate cattle around paddocks, have a 25 acre field split into 6, we rotate cows and calves round. So no its set stocking. But i won't tell anyone else its the key to profitable beef production. Because I've no experience of it, and aren't making it work on our farm.

@Courty you'd be more than welcome to come down here to see a dairy unit running a paddock system. No sheep, chickens or pigs or beef - just a simple life here. ;)
We're down at the bottom end of the peak District, so probably a good hour or so from you.

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
