No . but you can do field work

You have to remain "at home".... if the farm is your home then you are "at home".
Its not like you are confined to a room in the house....

I should imagine your fine tootling around your own farm not going to shops etc but if you go wandering around market showing off your tan, knock off rolex watch and your dry cough and sudden loss of taste I think you may be pushing it slightly.

Obviously not wanting to be going shopping. Working at home farm and farm 9 miles away. No other employees.

I wondered this when downloading the NHS app.

If it tells me to isolate what can I do? I have sheep on several different holdings. I can avoid people but I can’t stay in the house for a fortnight.

Wasn't there a draft letter on line somewhere that we (the essential public) could print off stating that we (employer) was certifying that we (employee) is/was an essential agricultural worker? I printed one off for myself just in case I was stopped but I seem to have lost it.

If you have no contact with fellow humans, you are self isolating, aren't you?

Having said that lot, I am in sympathy with the sentiment of the majority of the posters. Who ever heard of a small farmer having a holiday? Sounds like a troll to me.

That’s a touchy subject! The government had been giving 3days notice of adding a country to the list! Our plonker in Scotland gave us 30hrs notice before turkey was Added to the list. Couldn’t afford the £3k to get three of us home before the deadline

That was when we were in lockdown to show you had good reason to be on the road. Nothing to do with quarantine.
