He spouted the same line at Devon County Show last week.

Do you think he realises he's not only embarrassing himself and his government when he makes absurd claims like this, but it also makes it worryingly obvious to all that he has no real understanding of the industry?

Or he genuinely thinks we're all fools?!

Another Tory embarrassing himself.
Not certain that Brexit has helped overmuch, only brought about more uncertainty going forward.
Rumour mill had it that he was shortly for the chop.
Who would farmers want at the helm?

I nominate the same lump of lard that replaced Roy Hattersley on HIGNFY all them years ago. Bit of quality pig fat would be a refreshing change (and might actually support the British pig industry).

Hes now joint second with that cuningham bloke for the most inept ag minister mind hes catching up to the mega bitch margaret beckett at no 1.
Erm for ag minister from the tories.....not a clue. Labour Nick Brown but i think hes retired, Libs err Tim Farron seems to back us. To be honest Sponge Bob Square Pants or Bazil Brush would probably do a better job.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
