Endless power cuts today got me thinking, with the UK ever more relying on solar & wind for it's power what happens on a freezing cold, cloudy, still winters day with millions of EV cars being charged if there is not enough nuclear, coal or oil powered generators to cope?
If this virus has taught us anything it's that idiotic UK governments blindly fail to prepare for the unexpected, I guess small private generators are going to be sorely needed at some point, fairly easy for us farmers but not so easy for the rest of the UK population.

its not just our government, didn't France spend the 1930's building the Maginot line, just for the Hun to go round them!

Working From Home still needs enough power for the interweb and the devices used to access it.....
