The brexit one

.not many fans of the trump over here BUT we only get to see what the media allow us to see
Never did get to a TV but Facebook has some sentiments. Probably majority of them don't have a clue about it :ROFLMAO: But of the ones that have said something, they seem fairly split as well. Some offering congratulations on independence and escaping unelected officials blah blah blah. Others making comparisons to America...

I particularly liked the one saying final tallies are in. Votes were 42% Sense and Sensibility, 58% Pride and Prejudice.

That one does seem to sum it up fairly well from an outsiders perspective. (Not saying everyone who voted leave is prejudice, but those who aren't definitely seem proud!)

I had this little tidbit pop up just now. Made me laugh. Good on ya Trump!

Perhaps they could move to Remainia ;)
See what you did there.
I don't understand why Boris was saying last night that now we can make outr own laws and set our taxes.
We always have been able to alter tax rates and make laws without the EU's say so.
Ans this notion that we will repeal the human rights act is interesting, one thing our parliament is not good at is repealing laws.
My guess is that little will change and instead of blaming the fact that we are in Europe, the next crop of leaders will blame nasty Europe for the deal when we left.

It's unfortunate to think that in such a serious referendum that such a small margin was allowed to pass for a vote to leave ,at the end of the day nearly half of the voting population wanted to stay in Europe. It would seem that maybe a vote of 60% should have been needed!just an observation,it now looks like a divided nation.

That is democracy working now and as it has done in uk for nearly 350 years , some things stand the test of time others do not.,

I think VAT is controlled by the EU either totally or certain aspects of it.

Hmm...fudge tart, interesting....

Yesterday was a clear case of careful what you wish for.... I voted to remain because that meant there was always an option to leave still open. But the people voted Leave and, as a democracy, that's how it is. Just made me sad to see all the Great Britain flags appearing in,ine everywhere from the Leavers. Make the most of it because in ten years, it won't be the UK anymore - Scotland will be gone and I wouldn't be surprised at all if Northern Ireland doesn't opt out too. Don't know about Wales - but basically, Little England here we come! We'll just all have to make the best of it but I can see many young people will leave while they can - I now wonder if my own son and his little family might not decide to exit and I can't blame them if they do. An action that will replicated far more now.

I'm disappointed Cameron hasn't got the guts to see the transition out, leaving gates wide open for Boris. Who, if you remember, at the beginning of the process when he became the most prominent Leaver, said it was nothing to do with a leadership bid. Another lying barsteward as anyone with half a brain could see it was - at least he should have had the guts to admit it! There'll be a matching pair in power, Trump and Johnson - what an appalling thought.

However, always a silver lining, I made a killing on the $:£ exchange yesterday afternoon for my company !

Re. devolution in Wales, around half the population turned out to vote. Just over half of those voted for devolution and the Welsh assembly popped up in Cardiff on the wishes of a quarter of the eligible to vote public. We're now stuck with another tier of needless and expensive bureaucracy.

It seems to me that the arrogance lies with the EU political elite.
In pursuit of their dream of a single unified Europe they have ignored the clear dissatisfaction of large numbers of the people of Europe.
They have actively engaged (and still do) in methods to stop those people having a say.
Their attitude is that they know best and the plebs should do as they are told.
Individual countries Governments are complicit in this.
In doing so they are stoking a fire which one day they will lose control of.
Its not the UK leaving the EU that creates tension within the EU but their own policies.

And they are still trying to chuck their weight about, the trouble when you live in a bubble you cant hear the clammer from outside, I wonder who is going to have to pick up the tab when our cash stops and then the increased bill when the next group join?

And what percentage of votes should each of the 5 Presidents and the other Commissioners get before they are allowed to rule over us?

Didn't the EU impose a special tax on our very own Drug and Prostitution industry's?

I hate bad losers of any description and this post seems to encapsulate the bile that is being spilt by some self obsessed people who cannot believe that anyone disagrees with them.
If you don't accept the democratic verdict them perhaps you are too immature to take part in the first place.
To those who complain that older generations have betrayed the young as shown by the different voting patterns of various age groups then look at the percentage of those in those age group that voted and you will see that the older people are the ones who could be bothered to make the effort to vote.
Winner or looser the only thing that anyone should do now is shut up and get on with making the best of a what we have and if you really can't accept the result then I suggest you look in the mirror and think deeply about what you see.
