Yeah that’s the change I’d been thinking about, lagoons 5m deep and the thought of pushing everything in without a grate seems a bit dangerousCould you not put a grate in for slurry to drop through and basically the hollow under grate be part of the lagoon?
Or is the slurry not going to drop through?
Probably doable. We are contemplating putting rope scrapers in some sheds to go straight across a loafing yard into the lagoon. If we were to cut a grove on the yard for the rope to sit in would you be able to tractor scrape perpendicular to the direction of the ropes?
My gut would be yes but how would you keep it in the groove?Want to avoid having to put channels in the get it from just outside of the shed across the yard to the lagoon.

Would it be an option to put in extra. Rope scrapers to "fill in the gaps" in the loafing area?
Or would it cost a lot for little gain?
The hope being it would sit low in the grove. When they arnt running you'd hope there would be no tension and they'd be slack. Another worry would be the blade from the box scrapers flicking it out.
I know what you mean but it’s tricky, plus the T bar running along the edge. For me I’d probably look to pour a strong 3” sloped crossover/raised runs outside the shed then tractor scraper into passage as it were and let the auto scrapers pull into lagoon.
More steel been added I agree totally dangerous thingsVery tidy job!
Slats and channels it is. West County concrete are confident they can get it to run. I'll tell them they can come unblock it!
Friend of my father had to weld a walk way out to those runners after he fell in trying to get the pulley unstuck.
Very lucky to get out as they scraped into vertical concetre pit that opened out in to the rest of the lagoon.
Bolt some 4x4 timbers onto the floor to continue the scrape passage out to the lagoon,we have done it and it works wellWant to avoid having to put channels in the get it from just outside of the shed across the yard to the lagoon.
