I received an email the other day promoting Andersons Seminars as there's now an online one apparently. Has anyone on here attended these Seminars in the past? If so, what are your thoughts on their value for money?

Ensuring that cows are getting adequate amounts of dry matter (DM) and energy is now a challenge on many farms.
Supplies of high quality silage on the majority of farms are now running low, and access to grass has also been limited.
The challenging...
Hello, I was searching tractors in the 150-200hp range and found Claas/Renault Ares Models pretty cheap, under 30k for a 200hp one and I am curious why those models are so cheap, do they have any issues? what is your experience with them?
Hi all,
What are your thoughts on Massey Fergusons 4370 with 24/24 power shuttle? Seem a nice looking tractor. How would they fare baling and pulling a 10ft mo/co? Do they give much trouble?
Thanks

Interest in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine has focused substantially on the military and political situation, with some arguing that there has been little attention paid to the wider implications, one of which is the growth of the BRICS+ organisation...

Over the years staffing requirements have seemingly reduced as mechanisation has taken the toil out of many aspects of farming.
However there is always a need for good mix of staff on all types of units as existing labour changes due to age, health and choices.
At present I could look on my own...
Evening all,
Anyone got any ideas of how to weigh a bulk builder's bag, with up to 1t in it? Would be handy to have something that it would sit on, but don't mind picking it up to weigh it if needed.
Looking for the cheapest way!
TIA (y)
After some opinions on these- good/ bad/ indifferent....
Do feed intakes increase from these because it's not so tightly packed/ rolled into a bale as in the case of rounds just placed in a cradle feeder (for sheep). In my head I like the idea that everything is shaken up and easy to get to...
Folks, why we aren’t we getting organised and using the massive support that the European farmers (and Canadian truckers) are getting by not protesting in at least some form here I’m Britain?
Before we all believe the NFU’s mantra about ‘lack of public support’, just pop onto YouTube and read...
Hi. Dry cows are short of protein. Had the same issue last yr and had colostrum issues for a while. Feed rep is suggesting we need at least 2 kgs of dry cow rolls &£473 a ton. Is the best solution? Through management calving issues aren’t a big issue here.
Evening got a chance of milling 3 ton of beans for a neighbour. Hammer mill not rolled what price should I be charging for the job. Any ideas appreciated
Hi all.
I feed my inlamb ewes with a diet feeder. This year I've done pea and barley wholecrop, to mix with average grass silage.
I've been told the wholecrop is inconsistent when sent for analysis and can't find any rough figures for it.
Ewes are lleyn X, and about 65kg. Will be fed to twins...
Currently feed our cows in an old brick trough built against the wall of the shed. The current trough is way too high and they struggle to eat the last 25% and feeding inside the shed is a PITA. Planning to pull the trough and wall out as part of some shed upgrades and put some locking yokes in...
