can these granules be water dispersible ,can they be spread with anything other than a precision applicator, e.g. slug pellet spreader or do they need to be metered ,also have heard on the grapevine that the granules are being stopped. tia

They are too fine to spread with a spinning disc. You could add them to suspension fertiliser. I haven't heard of anyone using a conventional sprayer to apply it - you'd need very good agitation and big anvil nozzles.

I'm led to believe that Gowan are working on a liquid formulation of Avadex but the old BW liquid wasn't much good.

That needed to be incorporated is that likely with the Gowan formulation and what about the terra cast and opico air seeder type distributors with various outlets

Not legal to add to water, only suspension fert.

If using an air seeder type fan tail applicatior need to be very careful as not all will meter avadex successfully, runs like water!

Gowan have been working on a liquid formulation for a long time, don't hold your breath waiting.

That's interesting to hear! I'd certainly try some of it if it came out in liquid form.

Avadex Factor is the liquid. In Italy is is used at 3.6lt/ha giving 1.6kg of Tri Allate per hectare. This is a reduced dose than what you get from putting the granules on. Given that the view from agronomists seems to be "wouldnt it be nice to put 20kg/ha of granules on" and the view of many users is "cor, thats a bit dear for some sand that only adds a little control" then I dont see the liquid perk. Not when the kit fo granules is cheap, or you can tank mix with Omex.

Applicator was cheaper than contractor doing 600ac this year.

Moving house, but will unpack crystal ball....

...crystal ball says liquid avadex will work out at just that shade cheaper than granules plus application.

...crystal ball then says that some clever Dic will say that weaker liquid is just as good as granules.

...crystal ball then says they can sell you *less* chemical for *more* money, so will scrap granules.

...crystal ball then says we will all wonder why we are paying more, for less and bemoan we cant get the cheaper, stronger and better stuff anymore.
