Avatar seed boot

Hi

Did some Covid shopping online and got an Avatar in the yard the other day. And of course not everything as described.

What % would you say its left of the seed boot?

It seems like at complete nightmare to change these boots or adjust the height. To loosen the allen bolts you probably need to heat every one....

Loosening a boot to replace is not that big of an issue normally. I don't think you have to loosen the allen bolts at all to do it, instead it's the large bolt with the spring you have to remove. I wouldn't dare guessing what's left of the boot, but I think the manual says there should be a 10-20 mm distance between the bottom of the boot and edge of the disc when it's leveled.

Hi

Thanks for your reply. I figured out about the seed boot. Its quite easy then .)

When owning an Avatar I guess an impact ratchet is a workshop "must have".

Had a look at a brand new machine at a dealer. The boot is not that bad after all. I've also seen in the manual that the boot should be 10-20mm above the disc, but from factory its not. With new seed boot and new disc, and boot mounted in the middle hole(which it was), the distance is way more than 20mm.
