Wondering if less vapour trails are increasing warming and extreme weather. There were reports of post 9/11 flying ban in the US causing temperature increase.

I read an article about an increase in trees growing on lots of the mountains in Norway, causing increases in global warming due to a decrease in the Albedo effect (snow on grazed hills reflects sunlight back into space, green trees absorb sunlight so add to global warming), environmentalists love to see more trees in the hills, however this increases global warming. I wonder too if there is an increase in trees due to Wolves becoming more common in Norway, making it impossible to keep sheep in the hills. Another own goal there for rewilding too.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
